The case may only be ‘PU’ leather (the PU stands for PolyUrethane which is a polymer material made to look like “leather”). This is NOT real LEATHER! The use of the word ‘leather’ is misleading. The preceding two sentences complete the only Negative remarks for this new user on this product.

Note: Explanation for the 4-Stars. This is a Five Star product where the Reviewer deducted one star solely for the fact this keyboard / case is NEW, having not been used for any period of time. Therefore nothing can be said for the products durability, noting the Manufacturer does provide a one year warranty to cover defects.
Design: The case is very well designed (5-Stars). This case holds the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Tablet far better than most cases this writer has seen <a dozen or more were considered>. When the tablet is slid into the top side of the case, it’s held in place on three sides by the PU case with the fourth side at the bottom having a retention tab that folds under the tablet and uses ‘velcro’ to fasten the retention tab up under the tablet to the case. Note: Even shaking this case in the vertical position, the tablet cannot slide out of this case unless the owner deliberately undoes the ‘velcro’ retention tab.
Back side of case has an integral swing-out stand, similar to those used on picture frames which sit on shelves. This allows the tablet to stand in a vertical position, presenting the tablet to the user in the normal position for typing ( similar to the screen of a laptop when in use).
When folded into the final case configuration there is a fold-over retaining portfolio style tab with a magnetic latch which keeps the folded case in the closed position. This is a simple, elegant solution that provides closure for the case without applying pressure on keyboard or tablet.
The Keyboard is a silicone rubber type similar to the roll-up waterproof designs, which is held in the case by ‘velcro’ strips. Having the keyboard removable is a nice feature, allowing the keyboard to be used away from the Tablet in a more comfortable location separate from the tablet. This iLuv Keyboard is a Blutooth-type wireless device, allowing usage at a distance of 10 meters or about 33 feet . The wireless Blutooth Keyboard is powered by it’s own internal battery with the Mfgr. claiming a terrific 45-hours of use before a recharge is needed. Recharging is done using the provided cable ( a mini-usb to std-usb cable that is included). A Full charge requires a 4.0-4.5 hours of charging time (per mfgr.) <verified by reviewer> which is very reasonable considering the 45-hours of claimed usage time. Whether the user feels the need for an additional keyboard, instead of typing on the touch screen tablet, is a personal question. The final deciding factor for this buyer was the small added cost which provided a superior case < The iLuv case really is a good design for KEEPING a tablet IN the case> without adding greatly to the overall size. <Compared to the “Book Armor Shield Case” purchased from Amazon for transporting the tablet on a motorcycle>
When using this case with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 or any other Tablet, a clear screen protector is highly recommended. There are several products on the market.
Originally purchased BodyguardZ dry applied clear film. Installed at an AT&T store; where
the store rep claimed the numerous air bubbles would disappear in a day or so. <NOT TRUE; THE
BUBBLES DID NOT DISAPPEAR> The Zagg Clear Screen protector, ordered from Amazon, arrived with
a long heavy scratch in the film <looking at the backing on the film, it left the factory like
this>. Zagg, with a phone call immediately warrantied a replacement, yet to be received.
The iLuv Executive Case overall is an excellent truly multifunctional product, that is a well designed and quality built protective Tablet Case, having the bonus feature of a built-in wireless Blutooth Keyboard (detachable) powered by an internal rechargeable long-life battery. When in use this Case provides a compact,almost ‘netbook’ laptop experience, in a lightweight self-contained package; and does this for less money than some company’s charge for a case by itself.

|Perfect accessory for Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9!,
The iLuv Executive Case with Bluetooth Keyboard is the perfect accessory for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. It was difficult to find a good case for my Tab given its size and location of the ports. This one fits perfectly and has a very professional look. The keyboard is detachable, so it can be used outside of the case. It was very easy to pair up with my Tab using Bluetooth. I’m very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend this case/keyboard.

|Made for 10″ tablet – Not the galaxy tab 8.9,
Nice product, but anyone ordering for the galaxy tab 8.9 should understand that this designed for a 10″ tablet and the iPad. The fitting enclosure is made for the 8.9 and it fits securely, but the size of the case and the keyboard is clearly for a 10″ tablet and there will be a at least 1.25″ of space all around your tab. It looks goofy I’m pretty sure if you wanted a 10″ tablet you would have bought one in the first place.
