  • OHGODazombie January 6, 2012 at 2:09 am

It is stuck on file analysis why.?

  • dylan20078 January 6, 2012 at 2:13 am

i cant get into download mode because every time i do the power button and two volume rocker it takes me in to system recovery i guess because i tried to download something from ROM manager.

  • nonameputs January 6, 2012 at 2:50 am

@koolkevinc Go straight into download mode and it’ll work just fine. I’m guessing that when you just plug in the USB that ODIN doesn’t do anything. That’s what mine did. I just flashed back by going into download mode with ODIN running. Worked great.

Really wanna thank you for all of this. I was completely lost on using Odin on my Captivate with the end goal of installing Pinnacle (started with CM7), and after this video I’m back on JF6! Moving on now. Thanks a lot, again.

One question, my captivate came from factory with 2.2, I rooted some weeks ago, Im trying to upgrade to 2.3 using your video “Samsung Captivate/Vibrant (How To Install CyanogenMOD 7) *LATEST METHOD* “. Do I need to do what this video explains first or should I go directly to that video? Since I tried what you explained here and when I entered to Downloading mode the ODIN didnt said added again as its supposed to. Details:
    Baseband V. I897UCKB1. Kernel V. 2.6.32.9. Build # FROYO.UCKB1
